At CEDARVILLE ENGINEERING we use cutting edge technology to generate Reality Models from oblique imagery. Reality models can be produced as high fidelity texturized meshes and also high density point clouds and orthophotos.
HOW DOES IT WORK? Images are captured from a variety of methods from hand held SLR's to aerial imagery acquired form CEDARVILLE's commercial Unmanned Aerial System (UAS). By tying the imagery to ground control points a very high degree of accuracy is achieved making the models usable in an array of engineering and planning applications.
WHY USE IT? Accessing site locations can often be difficult to traverse by foot, may be remote or secluded disallowing a strong satellite connection to handheld GPS units or may be so large an area that physical, slow data collection is simply not a viable option. In instances such as these, photogrammetry provides a much faster, safer, cheaper, more accurate option. Ever-increasing drone technology compliments the scientific data collection of photogrammetry and new practices and techniques are being developed every day.
